WILD WILD SALMON

COOKING RICE WITHOUT RICE COOKER

- Put rice + 1 1/2 cup of water (the same cup you used for the rice), along with sliced garlic and olive oil into a cooking pot.
- Put the lid on, stirring occasionally (twice during the whole cooking process) and let it boil/cook in the lowest heat possible, until all the water is absorbed.
- When water is all absorbed, still with the lid on, turn off the heat and let it sit for 5-10 minutes (don't touch your rice).
- DONE! If you follow exactly (stir twice + lowest heat + leaving 5-10 min with lid on and heat turned off), rice WON'T stick to pot.

This is how I normally cook rice without rice cooker.

RICE:WATER proportion depends on the type of rice you're cooking. The higher gluten content rice, the more water will be needed.
Basmati - 1:1
Sushi rice - 1:2

Jasmine (long) - 1:2
Brown - 1:3 or 1:2 if you pre-soak the brown rice
