If your problem is the filling, why not try to make a fruty one... With polpe (like mango, or papaya, or peach, or if you don't find them, just put some strawberrys into a "trituradora" and then add white gelatine and sugar) and white gelatine, you'll got a thicky one and maybe the cake will stay firmly... Try and tell me something...

cecilia... dude. you do not put fruit in this cake. this is a norwegian tradition cake. no fruit allowed.
